Roundtable Leadership and Staff
The Nonprofit Roundtable and the Center for Nonprofit Advancement invite area nonprofit leaders to Common Ground, Common Goals: The Washington Region Town Hall Meeting for Change on Wednesday, July 19, 9:30 - 11:00 am. Breakfast and networking will begin at 9am. This event is part of the Nonprofit Congress coming to Washington in October. This July meeting will bring together nonprofit leaders from around our Washington Metropolitan region to determine shared priorities and create a unified nonprofit agenda toward a national collective action. This event will take place at the True Reformer Building at 1200 U Street, NW, in the District. Click here to register.

How Ought Our Region Grow? Several Roundtable Members are involved in an emerging network concerned about how the region will grow - 2 million more residents are expected in the next two decades. If you think the region's cost of living is tough on low-income workers now, it'll probably get worse! On a related note, several Members are also involved in a series of discussions with government and corporate leaders about a visioning process for the region as highlighted in today's Washington Post and the Associated Press. The articles refer to a model effort called 'Envision Utah.' If you are interested in getting involved, contact Chuck at cbean@nonprofitroundtable.org.

Summer Reading: The Roundtable will host a book discussion on Leading Beyond the Walls: How High-Performing Organizations Collaborate for Shared Success. If you are interested in joining this discussion, let Roundtable intern Claire Rivero know and she can send you a copy of the book and coordinate with you an end-of-the-summer date for our book discussion. Contact Chuck if you have any questions at (202) 263-4761.
